BURNING MAGAZINEは、2020年に創刊者である大田 詩織と高橋 空による、日本における「美しさ」の定義と、それによって抑圧される身体についての対話をきっかけに始まったZINEプロジェクトである。その後、大田詩織を中心に、女性とクィアのクリエイティビティを軸としながら、世界各国のアーティストたちが持つ多様な視点や、作ることへの情熱をインタビューや特集を通して紹介してきた。
BURNING MAGAZINE began in 2020 as a zine project sparked by a conversation between founder Shiori Ota and Sora Takahashi about the definitions of beauty in Japan and the ways bodies are often constrained and oppressed by them. Since then, under the direction of Shiori Ota, the magazine has continued to platform women and queer creativity while introducing artists from around the world through interviews and features that explore their unique perspectives and passion for creating.
