Pearl Girl は、美しさがかつてないほど洗練され、可視化され、憧れの対象となっている今だからこそ、少女たちが初めて「グラマー」や「美しさ」に触れた親密な儀式へと立ち返る物語です。K-POPスターの台頭と現代韓国のビューティーカルチャーに着想を得ながら、本作はコリアタウンのショッピングモールが放つノスタルジックな輝きを、少女たちが女性らしさを学ぶ最初の場として再解釈します。母親と並んで買い物をした記憶。子どもらしい空想と、小さなパフォーマンスのような振る舞い。そのあいだを行き来しながら、初めて「大人の美しさ」について思い描き始める瞬間。Pearl Girl は、そんな少女時代の記憶と憧れが交差する、きらめく通過儀礼を描き出します。

At a time when beauty feels more polished, public, and aspirational than ever,
Pearl Girl returns to the intimate rituals through which girlhood first learns
glamour. Inspired by the rise of K-pop stardom and contemporary Korean
beauty culture, the story reimagines the nostalgic glow of a Koreatown mall as
an early rehearsal space for femininity. It recalls the memory of shopping
beside your mother, moving between childlike daydream, performance, and the first ideas of “grown-up” glamour.
